Zephyr was founded in 2008 – in the height of the residential slump – by Termini and Dane Chapin. While other big-name developers saw their business eroding rapidly, Termini and Chapin saw a huge opportunity and joined forces to take a very calculated risk.
Upon opening its doors, Zephyr hit the ground running – acquiring property for multifamily and single home development throughout San Diego County. Since its inception, the company has successfully acquired, entitled, developed, built and sold more than $750 million worth of mixed-use developments.
Current projects include The Park, Bankers Hill, a 14-story midrise with 60 luxury residences located adjacent to Balboa Park; ultra-luxury custom homes in various coastal communities under the Zephyr Signature umbrella; South Cove, a mixed-use development in Dana Point which will feature a community park with public art and 168 luxury residences; and a world-class resort with resort villas on an ocean-front bluff in Del Mar.
